GIK Q7d Diffusor (sold 1 per box £250.00 Exc VAT/£300.00 Inc VAT)

The GIK Q7d Diffusor is sold by the box. Each box comes with 1 GIK GIK Q7d Diffusor--482.6mm x 1168.4mm.

Diffusion can make the difference between a good sounding room and a great sounding one.  The problem has always been that GOOD diffusion is expensive.  Sure, anybody can throw together some blocks and call it diffusion.  Or, they can make them so thin that they’re basically completely ineffective below a few kHz.  Why is good diffusion so expensive?

Most manufacturers farm out their diffusion manufacturing to specialty machine shops which drives up the cost dramatically.  It also limits how much control they have over quality.   GIK has invested heavily in high performance manufacturing equipment which allows us to do manufacturing work in-house, thereby drastically reducing the time and cost while maintaining quality control.  The new Q7d is a perfect example of this.

The Q7d is made using high quality wood laminates which are cut using CNC machines which allows for extremely tight and repeatable tolerances for an excellent, repeatable fit and finish at extremely competitive price.

The Q7d is a 7 root well diffusor design that begins scattering at approx 350Hz and offers effective and even diffusion up through 3 kHz. The Q7d offers additional scattering up to the upper limit of approximately 7 kHz.   It is also built to be able to be hung in mirror imaged pairs to cover a larger area without repeating the well pattern to avoid lobing.

The Q7d offers a wide variety of placement options from rear wall, reflection points, or behind dipole/bipole speakers to address specific situations.  It can also be used in more general places to minimize slap echo.

The Q7d looks as good as it performs.  It’s equally at home in a home studio or listening room as it is in a professional studio, editing room  or auditorium – both in terms of looks and performance.  The beautiful blonde wood adds the feeling of warmth and class to any room.

We invite you to contact us regarding the Q7d.  Our staff of trained professionals will be happy to work with you to determine how diffusion would be best used in your situation.
